Men's Breakfast THIS Saturday!
August 24, 2024.
All men are invited to join us at 9am at the building for a men's breakfast.
If you are able, bring a breakfast item to share. We will eat, fellowship, and discuss what scripture teaches us about being Godly men. If you a teenage or even younger son, this would be a good place to bring him along!

Sunday Morning Aug. 25th - Worship Gathering
We will be worshiping together in our normal space at 70 N Walnut St, Galena.
Sunday school classes have begun!

New Fall Sermon Series: Life on the Vine - Growing Into Our Salvation
Galatians 5:16-26
Starts September 22nd. Have you ever met a 13yr old with giant feet or hands? We always say, "Don't worry he'll grow into them." We as followers of Jesus have all of this potential to become, and this fall we are going to be opening up God's Word and saying, "Let's Grow Up Together."

Growing Into Our Salvation
Keep in Step with the Spirit
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 1
9 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Starting in September we will hosting our 2nd Journey Institute:
Christian Beliefs - The four Wednesday evenings of September from 7:00-8:15PM Pastor Jerry will be leading the learning through chapters 5-8.
This active learning environment is encouraged for anyone 13 and older who desires to take a deeper dive into the foundations of our faith. There will be an expectation that the chapter will be read in advance of our time together, in order for our conversation/discussion to be most fruitful.
Sept. 4th - What is Prayer?
Sept. 11th - What are Angels, Satan, and Demons?
Sept. 18th - What is Man?
Sept. 25th - What is Sin?
