Love My Neighbor?
It is Jesus’s priority.
In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus says, “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’â€
There is nothing more important than knowing God and making his love known.
God so loved, so we love.
The families of Journey are invited to go beyond ourselves, toward one another, and ever nearer to Jesus.
Our relationship with Jesus is something expressed both inwardly and outwardly. To participate in the wholeness of what we were created for, we can’t leave either part out.
As we grow in greater love for the Lord, he expands our capacity to love others. “Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another†(1 John 4:11).
An answer to a crisis.
It’s no secret there is an epidemic of loneliness, anxiety, and polarization in our world today.
The Love Your Neighbor initiative is designed to equip us to navigate these societal challenges by offering Christ-centered spiritual growth practices, authentic community, and relational evangelism.
We want to bridge divides, meet felt needs, and engage in holistic witness that integrates acts of love with the transformative message of the gospel.
